Background

Cima Arts is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to the arts within marginalized communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. The organization primarily serves a local creative community that often lacks opportunities within the traditional art industry. This target audience includes individuals of all ages—children, young adults, and families—who seek creative outlets and cultural engagement.

In alignment with its mission to unite and uplift the local art community, Cima Arts organized a carnival event designed to foster artistic collaboration and community engagement. The event aimed to showcase the organization’s animated universe, which is centered around their mascot, "Peak," a mountain character that symbolizes creativity and the core values of the nonprofit.

The purpose of this carnival was not only to introduce this new creative concept but also to continue strengthening ties within the local art community, fostering inclusivity, and providing a platform for underrepresented artists to express themselves, in line with the organization's overall mission

Strategy

Social Media Engagement

My strategy to boost social media engagement for this event campaign centered around collaborating with various stakeholders involved in the event to broaden our reach. Additionally, I implemented a targeted paid ad campaign on Meta to promote our flyer, specifically reaching audiences likely to be interested in this type of event (ex: young adults, adults, families seeking family friendly events.) I also ensured that our social media posts were consistent and aligned with our content calendar

Influential Collaborations

My strategy of partnering with influential organizations and local businesses significantly enhanced social media engagement and broadened our audience, ultimately increasing attendance at the promoted event. I carefully selected key stakeholders like 'Dallas Culture,' 'Bath House Cultural Center,' 'Coco Andre Chocolatier,' and 'Olmo Market,' all of which have strong profiles and community influence. By collaborating with these organizations and local businesses, we were able to further increase our engagement and reach. Through my content strategy and seamless coordination with the production team, this initiative was executed successfully.

Email Marketing

I developed and managed a series of targeted email campaigns that aligned with our content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely communication with our audience. Each email was crafted to engage recipients, build anticipation, and drive attendance. By sending these emails to our mailing list, we were able to tailor messages to specific audiences, increasing open rates and overall engagement. These efforts played a crucial role in keeping the event top-of-mind and driving ticket sales.
